The Cottesloe Junior Football Club "Magpies" was established over 50 years ago and cater for all ages from pre-primary throughs to U14's. We are based at Harvey Field on the corner of Broome and Jarrad Street.

14s are into the Grand Final! - Sunday 12 September 3pm at Claremont Showgrounds.

Great news - the 14s delivered the best Fathers Day present by winning a tough preliminary final against Sorrento Duncraig. A team they haven't beaten all season. It was an inspiring display of team football where each of the boys played their part in the victory and puts them into a successive grand final in the top division of the 14s competition, a fantastic effort for the Club.

The Grand Final is at 3pm this Sunday at the Claremont Showgrounds. It would be great to have as many Cottesloe supporters as possible at the game to spur the team on as it makes a big difference to the boys. Please spread the word to families and friends and don't forget to wear something black & white on the day. You won't be able to miss the 14s' mums who will be standing together in Magpies jumpers.

A message of support to all the coaches and managers from an older player (1964 - 67)

Paul,
I am sitting down here in Denmark WA playing around with the computer and wondered if the old footy club was still happening.

I was absolutely delighted to see that was the case. Myself and my two brothers played for Cottesloe way back in 1964 - 67 when a gentleman named Peter Murray was our club mentor and backbone of the club and we were coached by John Parkinson who you will remember was the Claremont champ that won the Sandover medal. The noted players of that time were Jim Thomas who played for Claremont as did a man called Jim Kidd who is a little more famous these days for his sports stores.

Have not been back in Cottesloe for years but good luck in looking after our youth.

Regards,
Ron Watkins
